CRAUN Research

CRAUN Through the Years: Building a Sustainable Sago Industry

22 July 1993

Establishment

CRAUN was established by the Sarawak State Government.

15 Febuary 1994

Operations Begin

CRAUN began operations at the Food Technology Research Laboratories of MARDI Sarawak Branch.

1 July 1994

Mukah Office

The Farm Management & By-Product Utilisation Section began operations at Mukah New Township.

17 September 1994

Sungai Talau Research Station

CRAUN took over the Sungai Talau Research Station from the Agriculture Department Sarawak.

17 November 1994

HQ Construction

Construction of CRAUN’s headquarters at Lot 3147, Jalan Sultan Tengah, Kuching.

11 September 1995

HQ Operations

CRAUN Headquarters officially began operations.

1 April 1997

Corporatisation

CRAUN was corporatised and became CRAUN Research Sdn. Bhd.

August 2011

Mukah Relocation

CRAUN’s Mukah operations have been centralized at the Sungai Talau Research Station.

22 May 2017

New Ministry

By virtue of the Sarawak Gazette, CRAUN Research Sdn. Bhd. was placed under the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Research and Biotechnological Council.
